good price, very compact but poor sound quality |

You can store up to 200 messages, total time of 150 minutes, so if you use this as a personal message recorder, average message length about a minute, this is great. However, there is no way you can record meetings with this. It has really great difficulty picking up sound even about three metres away unless you speak very loudly and clearly. There also seems to be a persistent background noise as one might expect for example on a tape recorder (but worse), which is a bit disappointing for a digital device. I must also note that this is a voice recorder and music does not record well on this device. On the plus side, no cassettes, no hassle (hence good for those who cant bear throwing things away - unless they back up their recordings on cassettes which is possible by the way), very compact, incredibly light, 2 rechargeable NiMH batteries seem to work fine in it, though perhaps you are technically supposed to use alkaline.
